AUTORICKSHAW DRIVING

ANEW trains young women in driving Autorickshaws and assists them in getting suitable employment. ANEW trained girls are employed by schools to transport children to school and back home. Safety in driving is a core part of the ANEW curriculum. Parents and teachers recognise the benefits of hiring female drivers who have completed the ANEW course. Girls trained at ANEW can also seek employment with private autorickshaw owners or ply on their own.
