HOME NURSING
The objective of this 4-month course is to teach the women to have the basic knowledge needed to care for sick patients recovering at home and elders requiring home geriatric care. Students who complete the course requirements receive a Certification in Home Nursing Care. There is a shortage of qualified professionals in this field and immediate employment is virtually assured.
During the first two months of the
course, qualified nurses teach the fundamental principles
of home nursing in a classroom setting. The third month
exposes the trainees to real life situations at the
Dr. Rangarajan Memorial Hospital. The fourth month is
devoted to on-the-job training at old age homes and
at the adoption centre for pediatric care.
