The Guru Krupa Foundation (GKF) is a private philanthropic organization legally incorporated in the State of New York, USA. The foundation is dedicated to supporting a wide range of charitable causes that foster social welfare and upliftment.
GKF adopts a holistic approach to philanthropy, acknowledging that long-term societal progress depends on addressing both immediate needs and nurturing long-term development. Its funding initiatives cover a broad spectrum — from addressing basic human necessities such as food, shelter, healthcare, and primary education, to promoting higher-order causes such as advanced education, arts and culture, spiritual growth, and environmental sustainability.

Guru Krupa Foundation has been a committed partner of ANEW (Association for Non-traditional Employment for Women) for the past three years, playing a key role in advancing ANEW’s mission of "Imparting Skills and Impacting Lives" among underprivileged women.
For the financial year June 2024 to July 2025, GKF has extended its support to:

150 women enrolled in the Basic IT course offered by ANEW, equipping them with foundational digital skills vital for today’s job market.

50 women enrolled in the Tally Program, which provides specialized training in financial accounting and software, improving employability in the administrative and financial sectors.

This partnership reflects GKF’s continued commitment to empowering marginalized communities through skill development and education, enabling women to achieve economic independence and a better quality of life.
About the course:
Students attended both theory and practical sessions through 3 months course duration for Basic IT course & 4 months course duration for Tally course.
Additionally, the students attended sessions on Spoken English, Career Guidance, Health & Hygiene, soft skills (Goal setting, financial literacy), technical presentation skills and Self defence ‘KRAV MAGA’session.
These efforts ensure that students receive a comprehensive education that prepares them for their future careers.
After the final exam the students receive their certification of completion by means of conducting a certification ceremony. The course is co certified by the NIIT Foundation.
This event marks their dedication and achievements in completing their training at ANEW.

Uma maheshwari
My name is Uma Maheshwari, and I am currently in my third year pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in a Government aided college in Chennai. My family has faced significant challenges over the years. My father, despite being affected by a neurological condition, has worked tirelessly to support us by selling gold-plated jewelry. My mother is a homemaker, and my sister is currently pursuing an MSc in Biochemistry in the same college. Due to our financial constraints, affording paid courses has always been a challenge. However, I have remained eager to learn and acquire new skills. Through a referral from a college senior, I discovered a remarkable opportunity with ANEW—offering free courses for underprivsnipileged women. I began my journey with ANEW by enrolling in the Basic IT Course. This course provided me with essential computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and basic computer operations. In addition to technical skills, I also gained valuable insights into spoken English, self-defense, goal-setting, and creating and presenting PowerPoint presentations. Encouraged by my progress, I later enrolled in an advanced Python course offered by ANEW. This course deepened my programming knowledge and significantly enhanced my skills in Python. The comprehensive training I received in both courses has been instrumental in shaping my career. Notably, the interview preparation sessions provided during the programs have greatly boosted my confidence in facing job interviews and improving my career prospects. Swasthika, who faced significant challenges after losing her father at a young age, has shown remarkable resilience. Her time at Anew has been a period of significant growth and transformation. Enrolled in the BIT Course. Swasthika has built upon her foundational knowledge gained from her recent B.Com General degree at Government aided College for Women. Living with her family, which includes her mother working in a Small Finance Bank, and her brother, who is in his third graduation. Swasthika has made substantial progress since joining Anew. Initially, she had limited proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, but the engaging teaching methods at Anew have significantly enhanced her skills in these areas. In addition to her technical training, Swasthika has benefited from learning about self-defense, health and hygiene, and smart goals, which have bolstered her confidence and ability to support her family. She is also currently pursuing a Tally course at Anew, further enriching her learning experience and preparing her for future success.

My name is Abirami, and I’m from suburb of Chennai. My family consists of four members: my father, my mother, my brother, and me. My father works as a painter, my mother is a homemaker, and my brother is employed in a small Company. I am currently in my third year pursuing a B.Com in Accounting and Finance. After completing my studies, I plan to take up a part-time job to support my family financially and gain independence. I was introduced to ANEW’s Basic IT program for underprivileged women, through a referral from a college senior. I got enrolled in their Basic IT Course, Batch Number 292. During this course, I acquired essential skills such as using computers, Excel, and PowerPoint. Prathibaa.R, a final-year B.Sc. Computer Science student in a Government aided college, is a testament to how dedication and perseverance can overcome challenges. Coming from a humble background, her father works as an electrician earning ₹10,000 per month, while her mother is a homemaker. Despite financial constraints, Prathibaa's determination to succeed has never faltered. To advance her education, Prathibaa joined Anew under the underprivileged category, as private computer courses were beyond her reach. This opportunity became pivotal in enhancing her skills and igniting her passion for learning. Prathibaa stands out for her calm demeaner, creativity, and discipline. Sankarammal, a B.Com graduate from 2014, dedicated the past decade to her family after marriage and raising two children. Her husband, a maintenance worker earning ₹12,000 per month, encouraged her aspirations to re-enter the workforce despite financial and personal responsibilities. To update her skills, Sankarammal enrolled in a basic IT course at Anew, where she became known for her unwavering dedication. She was highly regular in attending classes and excelled in completing projects within deadlines, displaying exceptional focus and a strong desire to learn. Her hard work paid off as she secured an outstanding grade of 93% in her NIIT final exam, emerging as the batch topper. Shaeenaa, a recent B.Com graduate, comes from a financially challenged background. Her father works as an office assistant in Electricity Board, her mother is a homemaker, and she has a younger school going sibling. With a passion for pursuing a career in accounting, Shaeenaa soon realized that computer literacy was essential to land a job in her field. However, given her family's financial constraints, paying for a computer course seemed impossible. Determined not to give up, Shaeenaa began searching online for free courses. That’s when she discovered ANEW’s free Basic IT and Tally courses. Eager to seize this opportunity, she enrolled in the three-month Basic IT course, which was offered free of cost. Upon completing the IT course, she advanced to the four-month Tally course, also provided by ANEW. Shaeenaa speaks highly of the supportive and encouraging trainers at ANEW. I am Megala P, a graduate in B.Sc. Biotechnology from Tamilnadu based University. My journey has been shaped by both challenges and determination. I lost my father at a young age, and my mother, a daily wage laborer, has worked tirelessly to support our family. I have a younger brother and sister who are currently studying in the 10th standard. Their future motivates me to strive for success. I came to know about ANEW (Association for Non-traditional Employment for Women) through one of our wellwishers, who recommended the program to me.
